LOL I didn't know that a feminist was someone who blames men for her problems haha. Seriously thanks for clarifying that for me. I always thought a feminist was more like a female who hate men cuz they got fucked over by a man. I also thought that a feminist was a female that stood for "equal" rights.

Damn where the hell was I at during history class hahahah

No, "feminists" blame men in general for everything. They whine and wheedle to try and use the same old guilt-tripping on men that women have used for years. Feminists wish to turn all women against men so the feminists can have them all to themselves. It's all the culmination of the Victorian "women's movement," middle-class women battling for power with middle-class men. Now, these misbegotten women are mutilating themselves to try and become actual men, something they cannot do, no matter how much they want to believe the lie that women can do anything men can. They can't, and never will be able to. I don't care if they get mastectomies, have hysterectomies, and take testosterone, they will never be men.

I'm for equal rights and responsibilities, but I am not a feminist. Mrs. Pankhurst and her struggle are long past, the middle-class woman won the vote et cetera. Nora left her dollhouse years ago, and now some of those same Noras wish to set up new ones together. To do this sucessfully, they need to blame men for everything so they can justify their perfidy. In this, they need the likes of Joan, who is a strident butch speaking about things that don't even concern her, such as anything to do with man/woman relations, such as abortion.

Who is she to discuss abortion at all? She is a dyke who has kicked men away so she has no right to even speak on the topic. She is like the old joke about men saying "yes, dear" to the woman to shut her up. Let the feminists go on with their belief in matriarchy, they are just part of the world's problems. Andrea Dworkin/Catharine MacKinnon and them are just the natural culmination of feminist bullshit.

Did you actually expect to learn history in school?
I'm racked with laughter!!

One last thing...be careful what you wish for...

Well I thought there was a big fight in the band on the direction the band was gonna go, Joan wanted to go more punk where Lita and Sandy wanted to go more metal. Cherrie i thought was booted cause of drugs. I think a reunion would most likely be one of the best things in a time right now. It would bring out more girls in the industry more than ever. I think shows would sell out left and right.

Wasted was on the 3rd LP, and pretty much the whole band was Joan Jett and Fowley to begin with doing all the writing on the first 2 lps with few input with the others.

Joan still wants to be a punk, Lita wants metal. A good combo for times right now

Joan's fan base is riot grrls. I seriously doubt they would want anything to do with the original recording lineup. I seriously doubt that someone who is responsible for dross such as Bratmobile would have any positive influence at all.

BTW...the third album is Live in Japan. Do you mean that album with Vicki?

I'm a little "wacky", I never count live albums when counting how many albums a band has out. They are nothing more than "greatest hits" packages, and I sure don't count those as real albums.

"Live In Japan" had songs that were not on other albums. They covered Lou Reed's "Rock & Roll," and also did "Alright, You Guys," originally by Venus & The Razorblades.

I liked it.

hahahahahaha first off I'd like to say thanks for clarifying the feminist thing AGAIN

secondly, I would totally go to a Runaways reunion and its not because of a riot grrrl thing either. I just tend to think chic musicians are cool and I'm not dykish in any way either.

Thirdly, I love cock too much to want all men to go away hahahhahahaha

and from Joan:
MRZ - Have you worked with Lita Ford since the Runaways?
Joan - No, I haven't.

MRZ - Do you want to?
Joan - Yeah, in a Runaways context yeah. We discussed possibly doing something.

MRZ - Like reforming the group.
Joan - I don't know. I'm the one who's really not into that. I don't see the reason. We took so much shit when we were doing it when the Runaways were happening. So now 20 years later people want us to get together so they can take shots at all these old babes trying to get back some youth.
I mean come on; I've been there. I know what the press would do. They say "Oh come on, reform". We reform and people take shots. I would come out with nooses and hang everybody who made fun of us. Only because The Runaways were my baby and there's no reason to get it back together except to totally have fun. If that's not the goal, then I don't want to do it. So as soon any other thing enters into it, any discussion of sound, any kind fights, any kind of press leaks, you know what, I don't need it. I've already done it. I did it. I don't have to prove anything with the Runaways. It's everybody else who has missed it or wants to see it again that wants us to consider a reunion or something like that. It's not totally out of the realm of possibility that we would get together to do a song, but I don't see a tour or anything like that happening.

and:
Q: Do you ever talk to any of your former bandmates from The Runaways?

Joan: We've spoken a bit over the years, and I'm sure I'm going to be speaking to them a bit more. I want to get together and rehash some of that stuff, because we had a good time. In fact, I was gonna speak to Lita [Ford] today, but I haven't gotten a hold of her yet. It's nice that we still can talk.

I dare say that Joan's former bandmates have nothing but bad things to say about her, no matter what her propaganda machine says. As for my part, I stand by what I said about her fans being mostly riot grrls, and they do not like the pre-"punk' era Runaways. You know, those nasty male pigs liked them!

Baby Sprinkle: I have nothing aginst female musicians. In fact, I've always championed them. It is that I do not like the "womyn's music" crowd that has gotten involved. Let the riot grrls go listen to the granola crunchers such as Phranc, Indigo Girls, k.d.lang, and the other crap that the man-haters love to champion. Let the crud on "Kill Rock Stars" crawl back to SanFran.

Runaways reunion? Fuck no.

I think I'll just stick to trying to be a rockstar in my own mind hehe.

I got an Epiphone Special II and a XT10 Crate Amp for my birthday. And the week before I just happened to buy a Tascam Porta 2 cuz they were selling it used at Guitar Center.

So I think I'm slowly getting out of my "writers block".
